About Your Programme Instructor

Hi, I am Mandy Rigby. Growing up, spending many a weekend at my Grandparents Farm in the Cotswolds UK, surrounded by animals sparked my lifelong passion for dogs. Over 20 years ago, after struggling with my own rescue dogs’ behaviour challenges and being uncomfortable with the training advice provided back then, I studied hard and became a Canine Behaviourist, founding Yes! Good Dog to champion positive reward based training methods.

My Flatcoated Retriever, Reenie, truly transformed my path. Her adolescent energy led us to scentwork, an activity that not only engaged her but also deepened our bond. Inspired, I became a certified Scentwork UK instructor and grew an incredible scent detection community through my company Canine Scentwork Academy, establised in 2017. My mission is to empower owners to build stronger bonds with their companion dogs by making scentwork training accessible and enjoyable for everyone through my online training programmes, regardless of any prior dog training experience.
